Etymology

This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.
Particularly: “Considered an atomic unit by MED. Not given etymology by STEDT (thɑn²bhɑk khɑ² "day after tomorrow"), and doesn't seem to be mentioned by Luce. The components are သန် (san, strong; parasitic worm) and ဘက် (bhak, direction, side). The first component probably invokes a different sense restricted to this word, though the second component may be contributing the usual meaning of "direction".”
