[edit]From มายา (maa-yaa, “delusion; illusion; deception; fallacy”) + อคติ (à-ká-dtì, “bias; partiality”), or from มายา (maa-yaa, “idem”) + คติ (ká-dtì, “case, affair, matter; belief, idea; model, example, guidance; way, method; etc”).
