- (historical) also known as นครหลวงกรุงเทพธนบุรี, the formal name of Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, from 22 December 1971 on which the provinces of พระนคร (prá-ná-kɔɔn) and ธนบุรี (ton-bù-rii) were consolidated into one, until 14 December 1972 on which the consolidated polity was renamed กรุงเทพมหานคร (grung-têep-má-hǎa-ná-kɔɔn).
