[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀕𑀁𑀞𑀺 (gaṃṭhi), from Sanskrit ग्रन्थि (granthi). Cognate to Assamese গাঁঠি (gãthi) and Hindi गाँठ (gā̃ṭh). Doublet of ଗଏଁଠ୍ (gaẽṭh).
