[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀫𑁄𑀭 (mora), from Sanskrit मयूर (mayū́ra), ultimately from Proto-Dravidian *mayVr. Doublet of મયૂર (mayūr). Cognate with Bhojpuri, Braj, Hindi, Konkani, Marathi, and Marwari मोर (mor).
