[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit *𑀓𑀼𑀁𑀚 (*kuṃja) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀟- (-ḍa-), from Sanskrit कुञ्ज (kuñja, “arbour”).[1] Cognate with Hindi कुंजड़ा (kuñjṛā).
