[edit]Inherited from Magadhi Prakrit *𑀅𑀟𑁆𑀠𑀸𑀇𑀬 (*aḍḍhāiya), from Sanskrit অৰ্ধতৃতীয (ardhatṛtīya). Cognate with Bengali আড়াই (aṛai), Odia ଅଢ଼େଇ (aṛhei), Hindi ढाई (ḍhāī).
