[edit]Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀲𑀫𑀧𑁆𑀧𑁂𑀇 (samappei), from Sanskrit समर्पयति (samarpayati). Related to Gujarati સોંપવું (sompvũ), Hindustani سونپْنَا / सौंपना (sa͠upnā), Sindhi سَوْنپَڻُ / सौंपणु, Punjabi ਸੌਂਪਣਾ (saumpṇā) / سونپݨا (sonpṇā).
