[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀲𑀁𑀛𑀸 (saṃjhā), from Sanskrit संध्या (saṃdhyā). Cognate with Assamese সাঁজ (xãz) and Bengali সাঁঝ (shãjh). Doublet of संध्या (sandhyā).
