Etymology

    Inherited from Prakrit 𑀫𑀺𑀝𑁆𑀞 (miṭṭha), from Sanskrit मिष्ट (miṣṭa). Cognate with Bengali মিঠা (miṭha).

    Doublet of मिष्ट (miṣṭ), a tatsama.
