[edit]Inherited from Old Gujarati पहुवइ (pahuvaï), पहुतइ (pahutaï) (compare पहुचीजइ (pahucījaï, passive present indicative, third person singular)), from Prakrit 𑀧𑀳𑀼𑀘𑁆𑀘𑀇 (pahuccaï), from a derivative of Sanskrit प्रभूत (prábhūta, “much, great”). Cognate with Gujarati પહોંચવું (pahoñcvũ), Hindustani پَہُن٘چْنَا (pahũcnā) / पहुँचना (pahũcnā), Marathi पोचणे (pocṇe), Punjabi ਪਹੁੰਚਣਾ (pahuñcṇā) / پَہُن٘چݨا (pahuṉcṇā), Bengali পৌঁছা (pōũcha).
