[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘢𑘳𑘨𑘰𑘜 (purāṇa), 𑘢𑘳𑘨𑘰𑘡𑘺 (purānai), from Prakrit 𑀧𑀼𑀭𑀸𑀡 (purāṇa) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit पुराण (purāṇa). Doublet of पुराण (purāṇ).
