[edit]Borrowed from Sanskrit *अन्याकार (anyākāra, “different”), from अन्य (anyá, “other”) + आकार (ākāra, “form, shape”). Cognate with Punjabi ਨਿਆਰਾ (niārā), Gujarati ન્યારું (nyārũ), Marathi न्यारा (nyārā), Odia ନିଆରା (niārā).
