[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀘𑀫𑁆𑀫 (camma) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀟- (-ḍa-) + -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit चर्म (cárma). Related to चाभे m (cābhe, “hide, skin”).
