Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Proto-Indo-European *gʷow-sth₂-ó-, from *gʷṓws (“cow”) + *steh₂- (“to stand”). By surface analysis, गो (go) + स्थ (stha). Cognate with Celtiberian boustom (“cow-house”).
