    Inherited from Prakrit 𑀔𑁂𑀢𑁆𑀢 (khĕtta), from Sanskrit क्षेत्र॑ (kṣétra), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *ćšáytram, from Proto-Indo-European *tḱey- + *-trom. Doublet of क्षेत्र (kṣetra).
