Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Indo-Iranian *Habʰítas, from a derivative of Proto-Indo-European *h₂m̥bʰi. Cognate with Avestan 𐬀𐬌𐬡𐬌𐬙𐬋 (aiβitō).
