Inherited from Sanskrit कोष्ठागार (koṣṭhāgāra, a granary, store-room, a treasure, an inner apartment, hollow in a tree). Cognate to Urdu کوتھَرِ (kothar-i, a small room, a cabin; a closet). Doublet of ކޮށާރު (koṣāru) and ކޮޓާރު (koṭāru)
