Inherited from Sanskrit कोष्ठागार (koṣṭhāgāra, a granary, store-room, a treasure, an inner apartment, hollow in a tree). Cognate to Urdu کوتھَرِ (kothrī, a small room, a cabin; a closet). Doublet of ކޮޓަރި (koṭari)
