- ܒܲܝܬܝܼ ܩܲܕܝܼܡܵܐ ܝܲܬܝܼܪ ܙܥܘܿܪܵܐ ܝܗ݇ܘܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܲܝܬܝܼ ܚܲܕܬܵܐ.
- baytī qadīmā yatīr zˁōrā ìwā min baytī ḥadtā.
- My old house was smaller than my new house.
Usage notes
[edit]- This adjective is never applied to humans in the sense of having old age, instead, the adjective ܩܲܫܝܼܫܵܐ (qašīšā) or ܣܵܒ݂ܵܐ (sāḇā) is used.
- (old): For the sense of something having existed for a relatively long period of time, the adjective ܥܲܬܝܼܩܵܐ (ˁatīqā) is used instead.
