1. garden (piece of ground appropriated for the cultivation of fruits, herbs, flowers and vegetables)

   ܒܩܲܝܛܵܐ، ܟܹܐ ܡܛܲܝܠܲܚ ܗ݇ܘܵܘ ܓܵܘ ܓܲܢܬ݂ܵܐ ܒܨܲܦܪܵܐ ܘܓܵܘ ܡܲܚܣܝܵܐ ܒܪܲܡܫܵܐ.

   bqayṭā, kē mṭaylaḥ wā gāw ganṯā b-ṣaprā w-gāw maḥsyā b-ramšā.

   In the summer, we used to play in the garden in the morning and the pool in the evening.

     īṯ wā ganṯā b-ay dukṯā d-īšōˁ pīšā ìwā zqīpā. w-gāw d-aya ganṯā īṯ wā qaḇrā ḥadtā d-hiš nāšā lē ìwā mutḇā gāwēh.

     Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden. And in this garden there was a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.
