An intensified form of ܓܲܒ݂ܪܵܐ (gaḇrā, man) and Inherited from Aramaic גברא, from Proto-West Semitic *gabbār-. The Nun in the spelling serves to distinguish this word from ܓܲܒ݂ܪܵܐ (gaḇrā). Compare Arabic جَبَّار (jabbār) and Hebrew גִּבּוֹר (gibbôr).
