From Aramaic הָכָא (hāḵā), blend of הא (, behold, here) +‎ כָּא (, here). Compare Turoyo ܗܱܪܟܶܐ (härke), Classical Syriac ܗܵܪܟܵܐ (hārkā), Hebrew כָּאן (kán).
