[edit]From Middle Persian [script needed] (gazdum). By surface analysis, کژ (kaž, “bent, crooked”) + دم (dom, “tail”). For the semantics compare Old Armenian կոր (kor). Compare Semnani گيژدم (giždom),[1] Talysh کرژدوم (kırjdom).
