Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *kōń (“bosom”);[1][2] cognate with Azerbaijani qoyun, Bashkir ҡуйын (quyın), Chuvash хӳ (hü), Kazakh қойын (qoiyn), Kyrgyz койын (koyın), Southern Altai койын (koyïn), Turkmen goýun, Uyghur قويۇن (qoyun) and Uzbek qo’yin.

- bosom, in-between the arms, the breast or chest of a human or of an animal
- bosom, the part of a garment or clothing that covers the chest or the breasts
