قطع الإشارة • (ʔaṭaʕ il-išāra)

(transitive) to run a red light
لما الشرطي سأل ني ليش قطعت الإشارة قلت لّه إني ما شفت ها ش.
lamma š-šurti saʔal-ni lēš ʔaṭaʕt il-ʔišāra ʔult-illo ʔinni ma-šufthāš.
When the police officer asked me why I ran the red light I told him that I didn't see it.
