Reborrowed from Arabic فَالُودَة (fālūda), from Middle Persian [script needed] (pʾlwtk' /⁠pālūdag⁠/, starch jelly, flummery, past participle), Middle Persian [script needed] (pʾlwtn' /⁠pālūdan⁠/, to strain, filter, purify) (see Persian پالودن (pâludan, to cleanse, purify, filter, refine)).
