[edit]From Middle Persian [script needed] (-ntk' /-andag/), from [script needed] (-nt' /-and/) + [script needed] (-k' /-ag/), ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *-onts. Akin to Old Armenian -անդակ (-andak), an Iranian borrowing.
