[edit]From earlier طِيجَن (ṭījan), طَيْجَن (ṭayjan), from Aramaic טֵיגְנָא / ܛܐܓܢܐ, ܛܓܢܐ (ṭēgnā, “frying pan”), from Ancient Greek τήγανον (tḗganon), τάγηνον (tágēnon, “frying pan”).
