[edit]Borrowed from Classical Persian ذوالحجه (zūlhijja), from Arabic ذُو الحِجَّة (ḏū l-ḥijja). By surface analysis, Arabic ذُو (ḏū, “possessed of”) + Arabic الحِجَّة (al-ḥijja, “the hajj”).
