[edit]Borrowed from Classical Persian بیوقوف (bēwuqūf), from بیـ (bē-, “without”) + Arabic وُقُوف (wuqūf, “standing still; study, knowledge”). Compare Bengali বেকুব (bekub), Gujarati બેવકૂફ (bevakūph).
