[edit]From باش (baş, “head”) + ـلق (-lık, -luk).
Noun

- (in general) headgear, anything worn on the head
- Synonym: سرپوش (serpuş)
- cowl, a hood that can be pulled forward to cover the face
- helmet, a hard, protective head covering used in battle
- Synonym: سرپنك (serpenek)
- testiere, the complete armour for a horse's head
- capital, the usually decorated uppermost part of a column
- timber-capital, a truss of a post supporting a beam
