    Borrowed from Classical Persian اِبْرَاهِیم (ibrāhīm), from Arabic إِبْرَاهِيم (ʔibrāhīm). First attested in c. 1611[1] as Middle Hindi ابراهیم (abrahym /⁠ibrāhīm⁠/).
