From שְׁאֵר (sh'ér, “kin”) +‎ בָּשָׂר (basár, “flesh”).

שְׁאֵר בָּשָׂר • (sh'ér basár) m

1. (Jewish law) A family member who is not permissible for marriage.
   • Tanach, Leviticus 18:6, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:

     אִישׁ אִישׁ אֶל־כׇּל־שְׁאֵר בְּשָׂרוֹ לֹא תִקְרְבוּ לְגַלּוֹת עֶרְוָה אֲנִי יְהֹוָה׃

     None of you shall come near anyone of his own flesh to uncover nakedness: I am the LORD.
