Cognate with Old Turkic [script needed] (küdägü), Old Uyghur [script needed] (küdägü, “son-in-law”); Uzbek kuyov, Turkmen giýew, Ottoman Turkish گویگو (güvegü), گویگی (güvegi), Khakas кізӧ, Yakut күтүөт (kütüöt, “bridegroom; husband of one's younger female relative”).
