Probably from зло (zlo) +‎ -о- (-o-) +‎ ві́щий (víščyj, prophetic, oracular) +‎ -ний (-nyj). Compare Belarusian злаве́сны (zlavjésny), Czech zlověstný, Slovak zlovestný, Russian злове́щий (zlovéščij), Polish złowieszczy, Bulgarian злове́щ (zlovéšt).
