σκολόπενδρα
Appearance
Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Suggested to be a combination of σκόλοψ (skólops, “thorn”) and ἔντερον (énteron, “earthworm”), but Beekes finds this unconvincing and suggests Pre-Greek.
