[edit]Inherited from Byzantine Greek ξεφαντώνω (xephantṓnō), from εξεφαντώνω (exephantṓnō), from Koine Greek *ἐκφαντῶ (*ekphantô), from ἔκφαντος (ékphantos, “shown forth, revealed”).[1][2]
