From verb καλοτρώω (kalotróo, literally I eat well, abundantly) from καλός (kalós, good) + τρώω (tróo, I eat), stem of past tense φαγ- έφαγα (éfaga, I ate) + -ωτος (-otos, suffix for adjectives).
