[edit]From verb καλοτρώω (kalotróo, literally “I eat well, abundantly”) from καλός (kalós, “good”) + τρώω (tróo, “I eat”), stem of past tense φαγ- έφαγα (éfaga, “I ate”) + -ωτος (-otos, suffix for adjectives).
