Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]No etymology. Furnée compares στρύχνον (strúkhnon). On the epenthesis, compare κόνυζα (kónuza)/κνύζα (knúza); thus he assumes that this word stands for *δρύκνιον (*drúknion), suggesting a Pre-Greek origin.
