Etymology

Borrowed from Turkish eğlenti, with removal of initial vowel and stress placement on -έν- producing a noun-verb pair γλέντι (glénti) / γλεντώ (glentó) that mirrors κυνήγι (kynígi, hunt, chase, noun) / κυνηγώ (kynigó, to hunt, to chase, verb).[1]
