Θυάτειρα
Appearance
Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From the Lydian for "castle of Thya," from the name 𐤣𐤧𐤠 (dya). Stephanus of Byzantium thought it to be from θυγάτηρ (thugátēr, “daughter”), though this has been dismissed as folk etymology.
