Etymology

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish ایلیق (ılık, warm, lukewarm),[1] from Proto-Turkic *yïlïg (warm, hot), from Proto-Turkic *yïlï- (to be warm).[2][3] By surface analysis, ılı- +‎ -k.
