[edit]Inherited from Sanskrit वेश्या (veśyā). Cognate with Prakrit 𑀯𑁂𑀲𑀺𑀬𑀸 (vesiyā), 𑀯𑁂𑀲𑁆𑀲𑀸 (vĕssā), 𑀯𑁂𑀲𑀸 (vesā).
