1. a traditional unit of weight, still used e.g. in household contexts, equivalent to ¹⁄₃₀ of a ratal, that is officially 0.933 imperial ounces (26.46 g), now sometimes metrified informally to mean 30 grammes (which would be ³⁄₈₀ of a metrical ratal)
