Etymology
[edit]Borrowed from Japanese うp主 (upunushi), from うp (upu, “upload”) ( < English upload ) + 主 (nushi, “proprietor”); the pronunciation of up is borrowed from English up directly, not from うp (upu), which comes from directly typing "up" into a Japanese IME; 主 (zhǔ) is an orthographic borrowing from Japanese 主 (nushi).
