- (formal, specialist) to transfer (pass on, move in general); also of travellers, but otherwise not usually of people
- Synonyms: übertragen, überführen, weitergeben
- (sports, rare) to transfer (move a player to another club)
Usage notes
[edit]- At least in the sports sense, the verb is much less common than the noun Transfer.
