[edit]trång (“narrow”) + sektor (“sector”), used since at least 1947 when a book titled Den trånga sektorn by Torsten Tegnér was published.

[edit]- A similar construct, trång sektion, is often used in a non-abstract sense, i.e. a physically narrow part of a road, e.g. "I vissa trånga sektioner kan en betongmur användas, skriver konsulterna."
