time parameter space

  1. (mathematics) A mathematical construct or structure in which a time parameter plays a major role, or the set of possible values for a time parameter.
    • 2006, Nobuaki Obata, White Noise Calculus and Fock Space:
Typically T is a time-parameter space and is often taken to be a more general at topological space where quantum field theory may be formulated.
    • 2012, Steven M Boker, Michael J. Wenger, Data Analytic Techniques for Dynamical Systems:
If the number of discrete time parameters to be estimated in the EDM is equal to the number of continuous time parameters to be estimated (which is true for the time invariant model in Equation 4.19 in the case of equal observation intervals) and a one-to-one relationship exists between the values in the discrete time and continuous time parameter space ( in the univariate case, for example, by restricting the discrete time parameter aΔ = eaΔt to be positive ), estimates by the indirect method give the same results as by the direct method.
    • 2022, Chopin Soo, Hoi-lai Yu, Intrinsic Time Geometrodynamics: At One With The Universe, page 10:
Instead of well-defined one-parameter time-ordering in Schrödinger-Heisenberg quantum mechanics, mutual consistency of "time-orderings" and consistent interpretation of "causation" cannot be guaranteed due to the freedom in choosing any of the infinitude of ordered paths in a multidimensional time parameter space (see, for instance, Fig. 1.3).
