[edit]tetramethylene (plural tetramethylenes)
- (organic chemistry) A hypothetical hydrocarbon, C4H8, analogous to trimethylene, and regarded as the base of well-known series or derivatives.
- (chemistry) An isomeric radical used to designate certain compounds which are really related to butylene.
